Problem

Some users, especially new ones, report that they do not see any data in the system when querying.

Solution

This is usually because the active and visible scopes have not been set.  Click Scope: in the toolbar on the top right and set the active scope by selecting the appropriate scope from the list, then make sure there is a tick in the box for each scope you want to see data for.
