Problem Description
Trimble Juno handheld device with Exor Maintenance Mobile installed on it is not picking up the new updated PED file. Hitting 'Send/Receive' seems to download the file and no error message appears but the inspector name list is not updated in the application.
Steps to Resolve
Please check the following:
- If all FTP server settings under Meta Download tab in Maintenance Mobile settings are correct and if Download directory actually exists as entered under FTP settings.
- If the filename entered for ‘Metadata filename’ in Maintenance Mobile Settings – User tab matches the name of your new file.
- If there is a ‘Download metadata file if newer’ option checked in Maintenance Mobile settings under ‘Meta Download’ tab. Check it if wasn't before.
- If there is only a single PED file with the same or different names in Program Files\Maintenance directory on your device. Multiple files might confuse the system so make sure that only the updated file is there.
- Try to put the PED file to the required directory on your Trimble device manually while the device is connected to the PC via USB and see if is picked up. (The default directory on the device for the PED file is Program Files\Maintenance). If not yet picked up go to Tools choose Load – Metadata.
- Try soft and hard reset of the Trimble device.
- Re-installing the software might help if none of the previous worked.
