Problem
Upgraded to 4300 and we can no longer amend works orders once instructed as we used to be able to do in version 2. Has this been changed in the latest version as it is causing us issues if a works order needs to be changed in any way once it is instructed.
Replication steps: Trying to clear works order instructed date and not allowed from mai3800 works order screen.
Solution
There has been a change in this area from version 2.
One cannot clear the date instructed field once saved on the front of the works order screen this is different from version 2 ( when printed date was clear). If a works order has been instructed and you wish to add a temporary repair to an existing defect assuming only permanent created and placed on an order. Then you could cancel the order which puts the defect back in the pool at AVAILABLE. Can add the extra repair by editing the defect. Then can put both repairs onto a new works order. Additional repairs can be added once the defect is at status AVAILABLE.
Then put onto a new order.
If the defect had gone onto an order, but the order had not been instructed from the front screen - then as per version 2 . You can delete the defect from the works order line by selecting the red cross and saving. Puts defect back into the pool at available. Can then query back the defect and edit to add the missing temporary repair. Can then go back to the works order and put both repairs on the order number previously created but has no repairs on it, or, add repairs to a new order or split them onto different orders
