Adding a standard item to a contract forces users to add a road group field which they do not want to do. Other items have a blank field here but form will not let save take place unless field populated.Replication Steps: Maintenance Manager, Contracts,Contracts,Contract Items add new item, after entering Item, rate and units Cannot save record unless enter Road Group field - however user doesn't want to have to enter a value.
Note the Contractor assigned to the contract, go to Maintenance Manager, Contracts,Contractors, query back the Contractor. There is likely to be a Road Group Type field populated which shouldn't be. This may have been added by mistake. Ensure all contracts assigned to that contractor have had any standard items removed that have a road group populated. Then clear the field Road Group Type on the Contractor Details form. If contractor security has been put in place this may not be possible. In which case it needs to be cleared with sql. Please contact Bentley TSG.
