There can be various reasons why a user can't log into Highways
1 - Login to the Highways application as a user with the HIG_ADMIN role. For example the Highways Table Owner which is often the ATLAS or HIGHWAYS user.
2 - Go to the Exor>Security>Users form HIG1832
3 - Query the user.
4 - Click unlock user
5 - Save changes.
The account status should then show as Open.
The above will unlock the users account with the same password, but accounts usually become locked because a user is entering the wrong password. To reset the users password, enter a new password in the password field and save the changes.
If the user account status is ‘Locked (timed)’ then Unlock button is not active. To avoid waiting for the timed lock to be released, you could try the following:
1 - End date the user by pressing delete button
2 - Save the changes
3 - Requery the user
4 - The ‘Unlock User' button should now be active. Click the button to unlock the user.
If the user account status is ‘Expired & Locked’ then Unlock button is not active also. Please try the following:
1 – Change the user’s password by entering new password.
If the user account status is 'Open' but it has and end-date populated so cannot use the account and Unlock button is not active.
Ask Bentley TSG to provide a script to remove end-date and you should be able to use the account again.
