Problem

User receives the following error when trying to view XML for a notice via TMA3000:

The XML page cannot be displayed. Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Solution

This error is normally caused by invalid characters in the notice, most commonly in the ‘Notification Comments’ field. This is usually caused by copying and Pasting text from other programs into Oracle Forms.

If you have some text items that are used regularly, you should add the text to the ‘Standard Text’ feature and use that, rather than copy the text from another software program.

To set to up standard text, go to Exor > Reference Data > Standard Text Maintenance. To add standard text form notice comments, query back TMA1001. Select Noticing Assistant, notice type comments. Then add the comments in the box below  and Save.

To assign the text to a user, go to Exor > Reference Data > Standard Text Usage. Select the user from the list of values, then select the text you want to assign to the users and using the ‘>’ button, move the selection from ‘available text’ to 'selected text' and save.
