Problem

When trying to create a defect on the network through Locator we get an error message saying 'No network found within Tolerance. Network Location is mandatory for this feature type. Aborting feature creation now'.

Solution

Have a look at the java console log. The sql to retieve the networks to snap to should be displayed. Copy/paste this to a SQL window. It should give you an error which will indicate what the underlying problem is (e.g. one of the layers may not have an entry in the USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA table)

There is a task with BSW to ignore the layer rather than failing.

Also, it may be worthwhile checking the tolerance settings within the GIS Themes form.  Open the GIS Themes form (GIS0010) and query back the network layer.  Once the details have returned, check the 'Tolerance' section and if required, adjust the parameter. The default setting is 10 metres.
