When editing a datum network (reshape, split, merge, etc), user gets aNE_ID_OF invalid identifier error.
This is usually because one or more themes are set incorrectly in the GIS0010 form. In most cases, this means that the spatial layer is not setup correctly in the GIS0010 form. Most probably asset theme views have the Update On Edit (UOE) flag set to 'I' (Immediate). Only the base table themes should be set to I, otherwise the network ID columns won't exist, and triggers and update statements will fail. To find out which asset views are set incorrectly run the following statement in SQL logged in as the highways ower:select * from nm_themes_all
where nth_update_on_edit = 'I'
and not exists -- feature tables without NE_ID_OF column
from user_tab_columns -- views and tables
where table_name = nth_feature_table
and column_name = 'NE_ID_OF')
To fix the problematic layers either set the Update on Edit flag in GIS0010 form
set nth_update_on_edit = 'N'
and not exists
from user_tab_columns -- includes views too
The general rule of thumb is that ONLY the base tables (e.g. NM_NIT_<asset_type>_SDO) should have the "Update on Edit Flag" set to 'I'. The corresponding views should have it set to 'N'.
