When a user is trying to run annual inspection report, an error is shown when entering the year:Unexpected Error Occurred.ORA-04063:package body "ATLAS. TMA_INSPECTION_SCHEDULER" has errors.
This error occurs if the TMA_INSPECTION_SCHEDULER package in the database isn’t compiled, which could happen for several reasons.
First login to SQLPlus as the highways table owner and then try to compile the package. If a message is returned to say it was successful then please try the report again, however if it was unable to then run the following command:Show error
This should give an indication as to why the package cannot be compiled, usually because another object is also invalid.
For example if the error seen states that SYS.DBMS_RANDOM.VALUE does not exist, this could indicate that a DBA may have removed access to that object by deleting the user privilege, the object has been removed, or the synonym for that object is missing.
This particular object is a built in Oracle function and your DBA should check to see if the object exists, as well as the necessary privileges and synonym for the user running the report.
