If my trip needs to exit and re-enter the state or go through cities within the state, can I get one permit for both portions of my trip?
Yes, when using the Picking method, you can use the "Add Additional Trip" option. When using the Text Description method, you can use the “New Segment”. Sample instructions follow for a trip that starts on 470 at the Ohio border, goes to 70, and exits West Virginia on 70 at the Pennsylvania border. The second part of the trip re-starts at the Pennsylvania border on 79 and goes to 68. PICKING 1. Start the picking command. 2. Select the start of 470 and then pick once more on 470 to establish the direction. 3. Pick the end of 70. You will have the first "part" of the trip defined. 4. Click on "Add Additional Trip" at the bottom of the left side column of options. 5. Select the start of 79 and then pick once more on 79 to establish the direction. 6. Pick on 68 and end where you need. TEXT BASED 1. Start the text based routing command. 2. Start on 470 at state border OH 3. Go to 70 4. End at PA 5. Click New Segment 6. Start on 79 at PA 7. Go to 68 8. Continue definition as appropriate. There are also videos available on https://www.gotpermits.com/msportal/permits/default.asp with more routing tutorials.
