ORD End Area Volumes?

What's the plan for the functionality to generate End Area Cross sectional volumes in ORD?

Understandably as the Cross section engine has been rebuilt, this would have to be recreated also, but is similar functionality to SS4?

  • I think that we can all agree that one of the advantages of 3D models is the increased accuracy of quantities. As such, for the first release of OpenRoads Designer, our focus has been on improving the capability to obtain quantities directly from the 3d model. With that in mind, we have added the ability to derive model precise volume quantities from the model that can then be reported relative to station ranges, sheet borders, match lines or any user specified area for that matter. It is worth noting that this capability is not available in the EAP but will be included in the commercial release. The traditional end area volume calculations will be addressed in a future release.
