RC Pier - Pier Wall with Cap

I'm desiging a pier wall with a cap on top.  The wall is about 2'-6" wide and the cap is 4'-6" wide (side view).  The "Wall Pier" option does not allow a cap.  The "Multi-Column" option requires a minimum of two-columns.  I've input two wall columns but the columns are not connected.  Is there a better way to model this pier wall?

  • I believe it is the stand alone version (13.00.00.68), but I am not sure. I do not have a link to LEAP Bridge anywhere. It just tells me I cannot have only 1 column.

Even if there does turn out to be a way around this, I do not believe this is how RCPIER should operate. RCPIER has trouble doing P-Delta (I rarely get it to converge), for example, which is a pretty big feature to have not working. As a result, given that RCPIER is a black box, I have no doubt other things are happening behind the scenes I don't know about which makes me nervous. The fewer things designers need to fudge the better.
