RM Bridge: Calculation of perimeter exposed to drying

How is the perimeter exposed to drying (internal variables U and UIN) calculated in RM Bridge, and is there any way to define which edges of a section part are or are not exposed to drying? I am modelling a voided slab bridge with a grillage. The vertical edges between adjacent cross-section parts are not exposed, but I cannot find a way to correct for this.

    Dear David,

    The most reasonable approach would be to modify variables for calculation of time effects. There you can instead of U and UIN use specific values.

    As probably the values change between different girders you will have to create (copy) as many materials as many different girders you have (similar is also applicable for variables). For each material then the corresponding variables (set of variables) need to be assigned.
