crash wall footing

I'm designing a 2 column pier with a tall (15') wall.  How does RC pier treat the wall?  It looks like it does not deflect and I'm afraid that modeling it that way would be too conservative of a design for the columns.

  • I attached a screen shot of the pier geometry to my other reply.
    I see the design method for the crash wall but not how they are getting the loads for the design. Also is it fixing the column at the top of the wall for the actual column design since it seems to be separating the 2 items (wall and column)? How does it handle the different stiffness between the columns and the wall and does the model really extend to the bottom of the footing?
