I have a 5 span prestressed girder bridge, the first 2 span are one girder shape, the next 3 are another. the girders are continuous over spans 1-2 and continuous over 3-5. Is s possible to model this? right now I can only seem to get 5 simple spans and i'm not sure why? I cant seems to edit the bearing lines to single lines, that option is greyed out.
additionally this bridge is simple span during construction and made continuous with diaphragms, there will be two bearing lines.
I dont see a way to make the beam analysis for continuous spans.
There are 3 options in the Project Tab to model Pre stressed bridges a) Simple Span b) Multi span ( Continuous ) c) Multi Span( Non-Continuous)
It is not possible to model a combination of Multi Span Continuous and Non Continuous type of superstructure .The workaround solution would be to create 2 separate files.
For Pre stressed girder bridges modeled using ABC wizard the program always generated 2 rows of bearing.
For special conditions the user has to model a pier separately in the substructure module and model a single line of bearing and then generate the loads.
