Output for LEAP Concrete Spliced Girder in Consplice

When I am viewing the output for the Moment Capacity Check, if I have also checked the box for Shear Capacity Check, the calculation of the Phi*Mn-Pos will come up with a value "-1.#J", resulting in Cap/Mu and Phi*Mn/min(Mcr,1.33*Mu) values of "1.#R".  If I uncheck the Shear Capacity Check box and go back in with the Moment Capacity Check box, the errors still remain.  However, I have been able to get around this problem by exiting out of the program completely, returning to the file, and viewing the Moment Capacity Check by itself.  Does anyone know if this is a known bug that will be fixed if I update versions or if there is another way that I can eliminate this issue?

  • Dustin,

Please make sure that you are using CONSPLICE under LEAP Bridge Concrete v16.2.0.1 which is the latest release. I suggest you check the shear capacity report independently of the ultimate capacity report and see if the results show up properly.  You can also use the detailed reports for shear and moment capacity and find out if there are reasons for the invalid output you see.  Getting such invalid output  usually indicates that there are modelling issues; this is not a bug.  If you are using the latest version of the product you may want to open a support ticket and attach your model.
