How does LEAP Bridge Concrete calculate the reactions for DL-Comp. (DW)? I added up all the DW reactions and compared to a hand calc of utlities and overlay loads. The total DW is nearly 4 times greater than my hand calcs. I have 4 beam lines with 0.05 k/ft for utilities and 0.035 ksf for future overlay with overall length of 752 ft by 32 ft wide. Importance factor of 1.05. The DC reaction output and hand calc check are very close but something is wrong with DW output.
The procedure to distribute the superimposed dead load on composite and on supplemental based on tributary fraction .
For DW loads the user can compute the Dead Load DF manually for each beam or can allow the program compute the DF .
Please check the Analysis TAB --> Analysis Factors --> Distribution --> Dead Load --> Comp. DW.
If the above solution does not work then please download the latest version V16.02.00.01 and retest this issue and if you are still having this issue then please email me the LBC file and the version you are working on .
