I am using CONSPAN in my design and have a couple of questions about the method in which the program performs calculations. Does CONSPAN design prestressed girders, at the interior supports, as reinforced concrete beams? According to AASHTO, LRFD 5.14.1.4.6 and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Bridge Manual, Chapter 19 (Prestressed Concrete) Pg: 19-17, it is preferable to do so. If it does take this into consideration, where can I find the check?
