LEAP Bridge Concrete Connect: Geometry and Importing Alignments

When you're working in the "Bridge Parametric Layout" is there a way to import roadway alignments from InRoads (.alg file)?  I'm able to import one alignment using the ABC wizard, but only one alignment.  If you're working on a grade separation with multiple alignments can you import multiple alignments for 1 bridge?

  • It is possible to input multiple alignment information in Leap Bridge Concrete.

There is one option to import files to Bridge parametric layout . If you have already imported one alignment through ABC wizard then try this method by clicking on File Drop down menu and select IMPORT option and then import the .dgn file.

If the above option does not work then user can input multiple alignment information manually in Bridge parametric Layout. A very detailed explanation is provided in the HELP --> Tutorials --> Tutor 1.

Please see the attached screenshots for more information.

  • Brandon...the bridge itself can be based on a single alignment using LEAP Bridge Concrete. In the  "Bridge Parametric Layout" application you can use the LEAP Bridge Setup > LandXML pulldown to connect to a LandXML file that you can export from InRoads with multiple alignments and profiles. Then use the LEAP Bridge > Select Components dropdown to select the alignments and profiles from the LandXML file that you want to import.
