I have a project where we are tying into existing bridges, so I had to create the alignment & profile myself based on the info in the PDF plans. I saw a video showing that you can auto annotate an alignment, but that method involved assigning a specific feature definition to the alignment which automatically annotated it. I do not have the feature definition available to me that they used in the video. Does anyone know if there is a feature definition that will auto annotate that is available in OBM, and if there is anything i need to do with settings to get it working? Or is there a better way to auto annotate? Thanks!
Steven:
That auto-annotation video was most likely done using one of the roadway design products such as GEOPAK or InRoads. We have the same geometry tools as the OpenRoads versions of the roadway products, but annotation is still accomplished with legacy tools that are not included in OBM.
Can you post the link to the video?
Thanks
Steve
I believe this was it:

Steven ... This video is specific to the GEOPAK SS3 and SS4 software as it is using the DDB file to define and annotate the stationing.
Will the ability to auto annotate an alignment be available in some form or fashion in future releases of OBM? If it isn't in the plans please add it as an enhancement request. Thanks!
