debonded straight strands Prestress tendon in RM bridge

How model debonded straight strands tendon in RM bridge?

What are the difference between type length sl--b, sl-e and dl-b, dl-e (as picture below)?

Thank you so much.

  • To model debonded straight strands tendon in RM Bridge you can use both the tendon types Internal or Pre-tensioned. The difference between type length sl and dl (as in your picture) is that Sleeve lengths are the covered distances where ducts create a distinct region with unbonded tendons and Development lengths (available also as Tendons loads in DEVLL\R) are the transfer zone where prestressing forces grow incrementally from 0 up to when they become fully effective. This happens because if there is no anchoring device there´s not a full bond immediately at the end of sleeve lengths.

When F1 - Help explanation is not sufficient you can always search for additional information in Help \ Manuals \ User Guide and use a keyword to search the .pdf document. This information for example is mainly at section 6.4.1.12 at page 105.
