In a recent OBM video I see an option to have the abutment "BackWall" conform to the top of the deck. I think it would be more common to have the backwall under the deck. Is there an option or method to have the deck extend out over the top of the backwall?
You are right Mike, currently this option is not available in OBM. We will implement this in a future release in the short term.
hi Sri, In addition, to the above abutment issue. Is that possible to change the back wall height with 2 variables? ie when we have a oneway cross fall of the road/bridge, the back wall follow the underside of the deck. couple of sketches attached. Thank you
HI Sri any update with the abutment having 2way fall?
@rold, Unfortunately not yet supported in our current release. Will prioritize for summer release.
This is possible to provide back batter for abutment and wingwalls? We typically use 1:12 batter so the bottom of abutment and wing wall is thicker.
For the Wingwalls yes, you can specify different wall thickness at top and bottom of wall. We plan to add something similar to the abutment stem wall. Can you please add a drawing of what you are trying to model?
Sri, please see the sketch. This is a typical PennDOT Abutment without backwall, full depth concrete diaphragm acts as backwall. Thanks.PDF
