Does OpenBridge Modeler V8i have the functionality to create a template for a unique abutment shape. The current templates does not allow me to create the exact abutment shape that I need. I did notice V8i has the ability to create user created custom columns...not sure if there's a way to create a custom abutment. Thanks.
Jamison, You can use the solid modeling tools in OBM V8i to create any abutment shape (or assembly of shapes, with footings, walls, caps etc.) you desire and create a cell. You must have some basic MicroStation familiarity to be able to create this cell. After you create a cell you can use the place custom pier tool to place the abutment at the desired PierLine (support line). While this will allow you to create a 3D model accurately, there are limitations on transferring this to the analytics program.

Thank you Sri. Can you still generate quantities and other reports from this custom abutment model? Also, can you still place a bearing group via OBM tools or does that need to be modeled with the solids tools too?
The bearings are attached to the bottom of the beams, but the concrete pedestals will not be able to react to the surface of the custom abutment. You could add a regular abutment and let the program compute the concrete pedestal heights, and then delete it as a workaround. For the quantities, if your abutment was created with solids, I guess you would see all the quantities reported as "cell" under substructure report.
