I am working on a parametric cell that will be inserted on my bridge model in OBM, my question is how can i put an angle constraint at the bottom of my cell so i can modify the skew of the abutment, i've put my constraints on the side of the cell then extruded it sidewards, is there another way to do this? I can put the angle constraints on the bottom before extruding it upwards but then i can't modify the shape on the top which can be done by putting the constraint sidewards.
Anyone here have an idea how to do this?
Try defining another solid or profile that has the angle constraint, then boolean subtract (or cut) from the wall.
Hi Dominic, can you show me how to do a boolean subtract or cut a parametric solid? thank you. is that just a simple subtract tool?
Boolean Substract
Cut using a Profile
Hi Crisanto,
I added one video where you can see how you can cut your abutment after an angle.
You need to create a 2d shape on top view and put an angle parameter face of one fixed line.
I left down one photo where I tried to explain to you how you can do this thing.
Great insight! thanks Andrei, is it also possible to apply a slope on the top of the abutment? thank you.
