I received a 3d model from Revit and would like to make it into a solid parametric cell to use in OBM. I imported the model from a dxf format into microstation and it came in as a shared cell. When I dropped it, it became just plain separate lines and line strings. Do I just have to retrace all of the elements to make it a solid? Model is attached.

What version (e.g. v10.x.y.z) of MicroStation, or other product, are you using?

You've posted a DGN file (Pier Cap 01.dgn): is that a file exported from Revit? Or, did you import a Revit 3D model to produce that file?

I don't think that DXF is a useful format for transmitting 3D parametric data.

You might want to ask this in the OBM forum. As Jon says you won't get anything useful from a DXF. DWG would be better in terms of the geometry but you may need to re-model to create anything parametric.
am using microstation v8i selectseries 4 to do the modeling and creating the parametric cell.
Then later I will use that cell in Open Bridge Modeler.
V8i SS4 does not have any parametric capabilities.
Hi Henri
Did you try the Revit RVT or RFA file?
