Hi,
I would like to know if its possible to map the layers of OBM objects into another set of layers? Because when you set a feature definition for example for a deck, when i open the dgn file in microstation connect edition it says its level OBM_Bridgedeck. I would like to know if its possible to map it to another set of level names that would suit our project standards.
Cheers
Hi Crisanto,
We can create project-specific future definitions that you can save them in the libraries.
Steps:
1. Create the levels
2. Create element templates and assign the levels you need
3. Create feature symbologies with the element templates
4.Create feature definitions with the feature symbologies
Observe how the default feature definitions are created and you will have no problems in creating new ones.
Let me know if you encounter problems or have any questions!
Hi Vlad Grigoras,
I have understood the process and was able to use XML files to edit the information. However, editing XML files are very confusing, is there a utility available to export XML to an excel spreadsheet and import it back, especially for step 4. create feature definitions with feature symbologies.

Hi Jaimin,
You can use the Migration Tools that can be found here
