LEAP Steel v19 Live Load Reactions at Supports

I am running a number of models using LEAP Steel v19 (v19.00.00.51 specifically) and at attempting to extract the TOTAL support reaction from the program without any success. The reports that are output by the program seem to be the max LL reaction for each girder instead.

I have read these three posts related to the topic:

However, after reading that I am still not sure that I've gotten the answer that I need. Most of my models are being run as grillage models due to curvature, so I do not think the process of finding the max reaction at each girders and backing out the total load using the LLDFs and MPFs will work. As such I am wondering if there is any way to get the Live Load reaction at each support of if the program will only output the max LL/girder that is used for design.

  • LEAP Bridge Steel performs live load analysis either by Line Girder or Grillage methods by user selection.  For line girder (similar to LBC) LBS computes the live load distribution factors using the AASHTO Formulas and bearing reactions are calculated . For grillage analysis and FEM analysis the entire bridge deck is modeled and analyzed so there are no AASHTO live load distribution formulas involved.

Also the Live Load reactions does include Impact factor and the impact factor can be changed to 1.00 in Analysis Window.

Currently it is not possible to get TOTAL support reaction (comb. of all the beams).

    Individual reactions can be obtained.
