LEAP "adjustments" to elastic gains in prestressing steel

Could you please, please, very please, tell me how LEAP calculates "adjustments" to elastic gains in the prestressing steel?  Please?  These adjustments are not mentioned at all in AASHTO LRFD nor the current version of the PCI Design Manual.

  • Hi Vinay,

The image that you provided in your response is of very poor visual quality but I can make out that the information thereon is referencing LRFD "2005".  This is a 15 year old design standard and I do not currently have access to a copy of it; and so cannot confirm that the equation you highlighted for the "adjustments" is an actual equation in that AASHTO document.  So could you please confirm, either way, whether that highlighted equation is indeed an actual equation from that  particular version of AASHTO.  In other words, if that adjustment equation is in the AASHTO code, it will have an "equation number".  Could you please provide that AASHTO equation number if this is the case.

Thank you very much for your assistance regarding this request for information regarding your product.
