Open Bridge Designer Version: 10.08.01.30
Open Bridge Modeler Version: 10.08.01.87
Leap Bridge Steel Version: 20.00.00.24
I am having difficulties with using leap bridge steel within the open bridge designer application. I am finding that each time I go into LBS from OBM (BIM workflow), various aspects of my design are overwritten and need to be re-entered (specifically sacrificial deck thickness, shear connectors, wearing surface information, & load combinations). I have not been able to figure out how to prevent this from happening, and it is not feasible to re-enter the information every time I go back into LBS. Is there a specific aspect of the workflow that I am misusing to cause this to happen?
Thank you,
Andrew Lemieux
Just to piggy back off this conversation, it would be really nice if instead of deleting any design information when a "major" change is made, the program prompts you and lets the user choose what to keep and what to delete.
This is especially true in CONSPAN, where if you change your beam haunch height from 2" to 2.5" it deletes all your strand patterns and stirrups. Changing haunch is definitely not considered a "major" change .

Can you please email me to get your .obdx file and check on our side? burak.boyaci@bentley.com
I have saved and closed both Leap and OBM, and the analysis option is still locked. Maybe there is an issue with my .obdx file?
You are very welcome! Regarding the follow up question, please save and close both LEAP and OBM and see if Analysis option is unlocked. In this version, you need to close OBM for OBD to get updated - we are working on fixing this for the next release in which OBD gets updated without closing OBM. Please let me know if that works.
Thank you for your response Burak, That certainly helps to clarify things, though I have a follow up question. From your response, once I have created the Leap file, I should be able to access that design version from the OBD interface. Though I have created this file, the analysis option in the OBD workflow is locked for me, even though I am using the BIM workflow. What else do I need to do to be able to access Leap through the OBD interface?
