How could a column for a pier be defined as pinned-pinned. When I select hinge in local direction for any column, it only allows to do it at one end of the column. Is there another way of creating a pinned-pinned condition? This particular column is only needed for gravity forces.

User can assign spring constants at the bottom of the column and more information can be obtained from the help file.
