I am designing an abutment in Leap Concrete, using the "Pile Cap Design" abutment configuration, with the "cap as continuous beam" option. I am having Leap automatically generate loads. When it generates the braking force, it computes braking forces at the bearings along with a torsional moment on the cap. But, when it generates the wind on superstructure and wind on live load forces, it computes the forces at the bearings but no torsional moment on the cap. Why is the program not consist with how it generates loads for these load types (why does the braking force compute a torsional moment on the cap, but the wind/wind on live load forces don't)?
