When generating the Braking Force in RCPIER, how do I eliminate the Cap Moment generated due to the Braking Force located 6' above the deck?
I have been manually deleting the torsional moment, but this can be cumbersome when dealing with a wide bridge that has a high number of Braking Forces. How can I make a request to have this added as an option in a future release?
Daniel, no one on the LEAP side cares that it is cumbersome. They have no clue what it takes to produce a set of plans for a bridge. Over the years I had tried to explain it to them, pointing various "idiosyncrasies" in CONSPAN and RC-PIER, but that was a waste of time on my end.
It is not required to generate multiple braking force load cases . Only one BR force is enough.
More the braking force more time it will take to run the analysis and generate the load combinations.
Sir,
If you have any enhancement request then the product development team will surely look into it and will implement it.
