I have a curved steel girder bridge that has been modeled in LEAP Steel. The model successfully designs cross-frames and will show tensile/compressive forces in the design runs. However, when trying to create an Analysis report, for both Dead Load and Live Load, analysis results for the last 3 cross-frames are all omitted.
The bridge has 4 girders. Bay 1 has 13 cross frames (including end diaphragms), Bay 2 has 14, and Bay 3 has 14. There are 41 total. The report always will only show results for 38. The 6 end diaphragms are always reported, and based on the implied numbering, the furthest 3 upstation interior cross-frames in Bay 3 never report analysis results. The model has been rerun with various different cross-frame arrangements, and in all cases, the last 3 cross-frames will not report results.
Is this anything anyone else has run into? Is this indicative of those cross-frames being omitted from the actual analysis, or is there some issue where the report is simply being generated incorrectly?
It might be an old reporting issue . The current release version is V20.00.00.32.
if you are working on older version then uninstall and install the latest version and let me know if you are still facing the same issue.
We just checked it with the newest version (20.00.00.032) and the same issue persists
Please email me the file "vinay.mysore@Bentley.com"
I sent it. Let me know if you got it.
Not that bad of a program, for simple beam analysis/configurations; can design/analyze for AASHTO LFD and LRFD up to edition 6. Known Program Limitations include: Only Line Girder Analyses (has been a while since I used it, but I doubt they added frame or system analyses, so don’t let the 3D picture fool you). I can’t remember how it handles floorbeams/cross braces. Limited to Steel MyIndigoCard Login
