There was a new release of OpenBridge Designer in April that included the LRFD 9th Edition spec for both LEAP Concrete and LEAP Steel. Earlier this week, a new version of OpenBridge Designer (Version 10.10) was posted that added more functionality to all of the component products included in OBD: OpenBridge Modeler, LEAP Concrete, LEAP Steel and Rm Bridge.

Has LEAP Bridge Concrete in OpenBridge Designer been updated to the 9th Edition yet?

Both LEAP's have been consolidated into OpenBridge Designer. All future enhancements will be on the LEAP's contained within OBD.

So I have to update to Open Bridge Designer if I want to be able to use AASHTO 9th Edition?

Is LEAP Bridge going away?

That is scheduled for the first release of 2021.

Standalone version of LEAP Bridge Concrete will not have the AASHTO LRFD 9th edition update. The updates will only be in the OBD version of LEAP Bridge Concrete.

Just to be clear are you saying that. The standalone version of Leap Bridge Concrete will not be updated to AASHTO LRFD 9th Edition at any point in the future, or are you saying that OpenBridge Designer takes precedent over standalone LBC.

We plan to update OpenBridge Designer > LEAP Bridge Concrete version to include AASNTO LRFD 9th Edition in the Q1 2021 release.
