Morning, I am starting modelling with OBM and aim to translate a physical model from Openbridge modeler to RM bridge within Open bridge designer BIM workflow. I have been able to check out that modelling process really works in T-beam bridge or segmental bridge but when it comes to model a CIP Box bridge problems arise.
I need to model the diaphgrams so i don´t have a choice , I have to use the tipology of CIP box bridge when I add a bridge to an alignment in order to use the "place advanced deck" tool. The problem is that the program does not automatically recognize the suitable position of abutments, piers and bearing regarding the bottom of the deck when i want to introduce them, I have to readjust it manually taking into account the correct position of each element by hand. I don't have to do that in T-beam bridges or segmental bridges. Here are my questions:
Is there an automatic way to place abutments, piers and bearings in CIP box girders without correcting their position by hand?
If a place the piers, abutments and bearings and correct their positions by hand si that the elements are joined, RM bridge is going to recognize the connection between elements correctly?
Thanks
Hi Manuel,
I suspect that you did not set up correctly the bottom key points. Please have a look at the picture below and verify on your end. If the problem still persists send me an email with your working file and all the references at vlad.grigoras@bentley.com and I will have a look at it.

Thank you very much, key points solved the problem of referencing abutments, piers and bearings, but I still can not manage to locate 2 bearings on top of the pier. Openbridge automatically places only one bearing.
i alredy found the tool to place 2 bearings in "transversal offset" when placing the bearings.
