Cable stayed bridge modeling OBM or RM

I am modeling a conceptual design for a cable stayed bridge. I have modeled other bridges in Open Bridge Modeler however I dont think it allows for cable stayed bridges. I know RM Bridge does. Should i Just try and do everything in RM? the main goal of this task is to render our conceptual design for our proposal.

One of our engineers has already created a roughdraft of the model in rm. I am at a crossroads as whether to try and do everything in rm or model the bridge in OBM and manually model the cables.

any guidance on this would be great! thanks

  • im aware of that i am mostly looking for guidance as to whether try and do it all in rm bridge. (i know rm is more on the analytical side than modeling side so was not sure how well the modeling capabilities were in rm)  or should i just try and create the deck and substructure in open bridge modeler and manually create the towers and cables using 3d microstation tools) does rm have the same modeling capabilities as OBM? can you assign materials , drape an aerial over terrain, and create a rendering?
