I'm having a problem with a user that is unable to open OpenBridge unless he runs it as administrator, if he just clicks in it it acts as it loads but will never open. The software is working just fine if he does a Run as admin and enters admin credentials. We have already uninstalled the software twice erased the remaining folders in program files and installed back but the issue persist, even if we add the user as a Local admin the issue still occurs, i have edited registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\ and changed the DWORD value for ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin from 1 to 5, rebooted and still same problem, also changed the permissions for the user on that software to be full and the issue persist. His other Bentley connect products are connected and working fine. Not sure what the root cause of the issue could be.
Please create a service request so that the technical support can test your issue.
Hello,
One of our users is having this exact same issue. Did you ever find a resolution for it?
Hi, this is what they provided to me and fixed the issue:
Is this issue happening on all machines or only on this machine? I checked the ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin On my machine and it is set to 0. Can you please try 0 too.
Also, I want you to delete the following folders for all user logins and try again:
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Bentley\OpenBridgeModeler" "%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\OpenBridgeModeler" "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Bentley_Systems,_Incorpor" "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBridgeModeler"
