Hi,
There are cases where centrifugal forces produce a moment that actually counteracts the critical moment in the column, does RCPier consider effects due to vehicle cases without centrifugal forces as provisioned in AASHTO Spec (See below excerpt from C3.6.3) when auto generating CE together with LL in RCPier? If not, what would be the best approach to consider this?
Thanks,
Aisulu
While generating the centrifugal force the program is not comparing with live load .
But while generating the load combination the program adds and minus the live load .
Please let me know if this issue the information you are looking for.
While generating the load combinations, does it add and minus the centrifugal load as well?
i tested if the program minus the centrifugal load .
Based on my testing the program does not minus the centrifugal load.
There is option to the user where they can add Custom load groups where they can minus the centrifugal.
Please see the attached communities link where the procedure is provided to add Custom load group.
