When modeling bearings with seats and tapered plates I have noted that at some locations the bearing seats seem to float above the top of the crosshead. Does anyone know if this is just a graphical issue and the heights of the bearing seats are being calculated correctly or is there an error in the calculation of the heights of the bearing seats?
The image below shows the bearing seat floating above the crosshead.

I haven't seen this myself, but a good solution would be to model the pier as a parametric cell that includes the bearing seats. That way you control that geometry as opposed to having the program try to calculate it for you.
