I want to print the controlling load output for specific nodes of my pier model (the base of the columns). When I selected the "Controlling Comb. Only" option under Printing>Analysis Results, then also input the desired node numbers. However when the results are printed all individual load cases and dozens of load combinations are printed. Can you help me understand why so much info is printed?
I haven't used that feature before but I am guessing that with 6 nodes specified you could have up to 72 load combos potentially print: 6 nodes x 6 deg of freedom (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz) x 2 (min/max) = 72.

You're probably right about that. For what it's worth I was able to filter the results under the Analysis Tab to display just the desired nodes and the force envelopes. You can then export them into an Excel file. It's a couple extra steps but it cuts down on the size of the output.
