I completely designed a bridge using Open Bridge Designer. Started with the OBM file, sent it to LEAP Concrete, finished the design and saved the model. Went back to OBM and selected Utilities -> LEAP Bridge Concrete -> Read Reinforcement and got this error message:
Also tried doing this process through the standalone models and the only reinforcement that transfers over is footing reinforcement...
Is it not possible to transfer reinforcement over?
Hi Nathan,
Currently, only the footing reinforcement is transferred from LEAP to OBM.
What version of OBD are you using? Please send me your file (vlad.grigoras@bentley.com) to take a look at the models made in BIM Workflow to see why you got that error.
Honestly it is not worth trying to bring the reinforcement back to OBM from LBC as it uses the slab reinforcement tool which doesn't allow the level of customization we typically need for footing reinforcement. You are better off putting the reinforcement in manually with the correct tools.

Comprehensive 3 Day OpenBridge Modeler Training
Hi Vlad, we are using OpenBridge Designer Connect Edition. Looking through Connect Client there are no available updates, so I would assume that it is the most recent version. Are there any other programs to be able to model the reinforcement into the bridge? I saw Steven's comment below about manually putting in with the correct tools and which ones he is talking about. I just started learning this program this week. I'll get with our IT guys to see if they can get you the file
You can use the ProConcrete tools that are inside OBM. You will be able to model all the bars in any concrete element with those tools. If you want to create 2D detailed reinforcement drawings from the model you will need to go into the standalone ProConcrete software.
