I am designing a Pier using LEAP Steel and RC Pier and I am having two issues with regards to the footing.
1.) Whenever I exit out of RC Pier the Footing Reinforcement I have designed disappears. Is there any way to ensure the designed footing reinforcement saves so I don't have to re-enter it every time I go into the model?
2.) Currently I can only see how to export the Load Combinations at the bottom of the Pier Columns (in the Analysis Tab in RC Pier) into an excel file. When I design the footing the output shows loads at the bottom of the footing. Is it possible to export the loads at the bottom of the footing similar to the bottom of columns? I am looking to send over the axial and moment reactions from the pier design to a geotechnical engineer and they are requesting the loads at the bottom of the footing.
Any help on these matters is greatly appreciated.
I am also having this issue, except only the footing reinforcement is not saving every time I exit the substructure design window. Cap, column, and loads all save fine.
Hello,
I am having the exact same issue #1 that Adam had where any pier components that are designed in the "Substructure" module do not save after existing the Substructure. All of my loads will save, but non of the design screens (Cap, column, and footing design tabs). I essentially have to completely re-enter/re-design all pier components each time I get back into the Substructure screen. I also tried all of the suggestions by Vinay in the email chain, but none of them solved the issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
1.) This does not resolve the problem. I am working in Open Bridge Designer CONNECT Edition Version 10.08.02.10 & LEAP Bridge Steel CE V20 Version 20.01.00.07.
2.) My original question regarding the exporting data into an excel file was not about copying the output into an excel, rather about exporting the full output data. The output report that is generated only shows the governing load combinations. I was wondering if it was possible to access the output data at the bottom of the footing for all of the load cases, similar to how I can access the output data at the bottom of the columns for all combination using the Print button in the "Analysis" Tab.
Then please try this option.
Exit all LEAP sessions you may have open on the machine.•Open File Explorer and type “%temp%” and click on Enter:
•This will open the temp location for your login•In this folder delete “LEAP_BAK” and LEAP_FSOLVE/STEEL” folders.
•Open LBS and try again.
Please let me know the LBS version you are working on.
I am using LEAP Bridge Steel not LEAP Bridge Concrete. LEAP Bridge Steel does not give me the option to "Save" in the RC Pier (Substructure Design/Analysis) Window.
