Unification of elements in OBM

Hi All,

I would like to know if this is already planned or if its included in the OBM roadmap, i think this would really be a game changer in terms of drawing production especially for those who are going into detailed design stage of a project.

I modeled a detailed super-t girder which consists of 4 templates, it worked well but the problem is the girder is not modeled as one element but a combination of the 4 templates that were used which is not ideal.

The problem with this one is if we were to cut a profile view, it will produce alot of unnecessary lines which should not be displayed in the drawing.

What i would suggest is for OBM to have a 'Unify' command just like in OpenBuildings Designer, what it does is it unifies objects in the same family so when you print them they will show as one object instead of multiple objects with alot of unnecessary lines.

This is only not for Beams, but would also work with Barriers, Decks and Substructures etc. As they show unnecessary lines on the profile view especially when they are sitting on a curved alignment.

Cheers,

Cris
