OBM Segmental Diaphragms

Question

What is the best way to model concrete diaphragms in OBM for segmental superstructures? And add further detail such as PT anchorage blisters, PT deviator blocks and shear keys? Thanks

Hi, 
 Currently, there is no straightforward option to place diaphragms for the segmental bridges. 
 You can: 
 - model the bridge as an advanced deck bridge type, but in this case, you are missing all the information related to segmental bridges (reports, specific drawings, etc.) 
 - model the bridge as a segmental bridge and then using MS tools add the diaphragms as smart solids; in this case, for diaphragms, you will need to extract the quantities and other information using item types or other tools from MS.

Hi, 
 You can also model concrete diaphragms as Functional Components and place them as accessories. Their positions, dimensions, etc. can be easily changed from OBM.
