Hello,
I have a 3 span continuous steel beam model. When validating the support reaction using RISA I'm getting a different result from RISA using the same lane loading details. This model was ran in line girder analysis.
Per LEAP Steel lane loading details, the maximum support reaction at pier 1 is with lane load applied on span 1 & 2 and double truck in reverse direction with lighter axle of the 1st truck placed on abutment 1. Detailed lane loading detail see below. The unfactored lane load reaction = 83.533 kip and vehicle reaction = 122.15 kip.
To validate these numbers, I did a simple 2D continuous RISA model and placed distributed loads and points loads to mimic the lane loading and double truck. With that I get the results below, in which lane loading reaction is 94.846 kip and live load reaction is 117.249 kip.
Please help investigate this issue. I will upload the LEAP model and RISA model.
Thank you!
I have received your email and i have created a service request and i have started look into this issue and will get back to you at the earliest.
