Hi everyone,
I modeled a bridge in OpenBridge Modeler and created a drawing and a sheet of the abutment with the "create drawing" tool. I'm trying to automatically hatch the area that the "cut view" (the green arrow) goes through.
I thought maybe one of the display styles does that or that I can make a rule that if the cut goes through the abutment it hatches it, but I didn't succeed. I don't want to Hatch manually - I want to create a rules that does that automatically and always.
I'm adding two pictures that hopefully will help explaining my problem:
Thank you in advance,
Rotem
Hi,
All objects in OBM have a feature definition attached to them. The feature definition si composed from (from low to high level):
- level
-element template
- feature symbology
- feature definition
You can add a hatch for the cut by editing the element template used for that solid.
Please have a look at all the posts under OBM that refer to the feature definition.

Thank you for answer!
I do understand better now how the idea of feature definition works. However, it didn't work for me. Could you please direct me to a video or a forum conversation or a practice workbook that shows step by step how to create a hatched drawing/cut from a section/clip from a model?
Thank you!
We are investigating this issue that is affecting only OBM solids. A ticket has been opened for fixing.
Does display rules works with referenced OBM files/elements? i cant seem to make it work
I have used display rules with success with OBM elements in the past, you should be fine. Make sure that whichever display style you associated the rule with is the active display style in your view attributes.
