I have a file that was created with a 3 span unit. Due to vertical clearance restrictions, I had to modify (recreate) the span to be a simple span and then a 2 span unit. As I was going through and attempting to add the bearings, it would now allow bearing placement. That is when I then noticed that the girders are not linked to the substructure because the end bent was placed very high. Is there a way to recreate that link without deleting that entire span and recreating it from scratch?
Sometimes we have small issues with the exact representation of Elements and their position that could cause some hidden elements. So, when this is happening it's the best practice to try to introduce a small gap in the location, just some small number different from zero can solve it because normally it is due to some misalignment in the three-dimensional representation of the models.
