Does RC Pier check shear friction in the pier cap (AASHTO 5.7.4)?
I've looked in the output reports and didn't see reference to this spec section. I've also looked in the application help interface and couldn't find it. Note: my application version refers to old spec number for shear of 5.8.
(I'm on version 20.02.00.17, and will upgrade to latest version once this current project wraps up, unless the newer version has shear friction.)

Substructure module does not provide shear friction check for pier cap. Per our records, shear friction check is not a very common practice for pier cap. Can you provide some more details - is this a new requirement for an agency.
