Hi. My hand calculations show that my concrete column will go into tension for my earthquake loading, but the my LEAP Concrete Diagram for the column doesn't show anything for the interaction diagram for a column in tension. Is there a check box that I need to click for the column to show the tension portion of the diagram? It would also be nice if the Moment Demand and Axial Demand were stated as text possibly in the top right corner because if the moment/axial demand is too high it doesn't show up on the chart and you don't know what capacity you are trying to achieve.
Also for the column design report I understand that currently it shows the minimum computed ratio of (φMn/Mu) of all combinations, but I would like to request that a row for maximum axial load and minimum axial load be added to the table. This is the table that I think could be be expanded.
Thank you
Sorry for the miscommunication.
The axial force created from the frame action is considered as part of the axial force displayed in the diagram.
Please email me the file so that i can look into the output and the diagram not matching issue.
My email is "Vinay.Mysore@Bentley.com" .
I would like to request that the tension portion of the column interaction diagram be added.
I don't understand what "As mentioned before only the axial force and moments in the global X and Z-direction are used for the column design." has to do with the output and the diagram not matching. Are you trying to say that the axial force created from frame action isn't considered as part of the axial force displayed in the diagram. If so, I don't understand why that would be. That seems incorrect.
Forgot to mention this in my previous answer , Currently LEAP Concrete Diagram for the column does not show anything for the interaction diagram for a column in tension and also there is no check box that the user can click for the column to show the tension portion of the diagram.
As mentioned before only the axial force and moments in the global X and Z-direction are used for the column design.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Okay. I found that in the Tutorial Manual. This doesn't explain how I can see the part of the moment interaction diagram when the column goes into tension.
It also doesn't really help with why the output and diagram from my previous post don't match. In general the output and diagram match when the column isn't in tension, but it seems like issues are created when the column goes into tension. Have you noticed this before? I'm in Version 21.01.00.22.
