Is it possible to copy an entire bridge, to a new alignment? The use case would be if we needed to model multiple bridges that are all almost identical, we can model one perfectly then copy to a new location and modify as needed. Trying to copy paste or move doesn't appear to work (even if I "Add bridge" first).
User can move the whole bridge from one alignment to another alignment.
1) Click on the "Alignment" Button on the Bridge Setup Toolbar.2) Then select alignment (A2) where the user wants to move the bridge.3) Then the program will move the bridge from A1 to A2
Please see the attached screenshots.
Thanks Vinay, is there a way to copy/duplicate the bridge so that the original bridge stays in its original position and we would have 2 bridges?
I would File>Save As your file with the initial bridge to a new name, then use the Alignment button to assign the bridge to a different alignment. Make sure you Key-in the desired beginning station for the bridge on the new alignment prior to selecting the alignment.
hmm ... need to be cautious with this workaround. It maybe valid for cases where the bridges are not going to end up in the same file (either by reference or moving the bridge onto a common alignment). Since the element IDs/ SyncIDs are going to be duplicates, I am afraid we may run into issues. More validation is required before using this approach.
